1. What are the forms of movie translation and how do you receive movies?

Each movie translation product is made to order. Typically, PLG Translation receives the original movie in two forms.

Firstly, film translation with subtitles can be understood as the customer providing a video clip with text displayed alongside the spoken dialogue, or selecting a previously translated second language in the form of subtitles for the original version. Additionally, customers can also provide the script and time code in the correct order for the original version. This not only facilitates precise translation support but also saves time and cost. This method can be charged based on the equivalent word count like text translation or on a per-minute basis with lower costs.

Second, the film translation without subtitles, which means that the customer provides a video clip without any subtitles or dubbing, containing only visuals, character dialogues, and native voice-over. This method requires a high level of concentration, advanced translation skills, and significant effort to execute. Therefore, the translation cost per minute for films without subtitles is typically higher compared to films with subtitles.
